The annual calendar of traditions: PRCA Western Stampede Rodeo, Gardner Village WitchFest, Summer Concert Series at Veterans Memorial Park, and weekly harvest farmers markets.

West Jordan Western Stampede & 4th of July Celebration

An iconic Utah tradition since 1954. The PRCA Western Stampede attracts top professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls nationwide for barrel racing, bull riding, steer wrestling, and saddle bronc riding. The 3-day festival includes a grand morning parade down Redwood Road, food truck rallies, live concerts, and the largest musical fireworks display in the southwest valley.

Admission: Rodeo $12 – $20; Carnival and Fireworks Free

  • PRCA Pro Rodeo sanctioned performances each evening
  • Grand Independence Day Parade on Redwood Road (July 4th morning)
  • Spectacular free community fireworks show at 10:00 PM on July 4th
  • Demolition Derby and Carnival Midway with rides and games

Autumn Festival & HalloweenGardner Village

Gardner Village WitchFest

Utah's most beloved fall tradition attracts visitors from across the Intermountain West. Gardner Village transforms with dozens of whimsical, handcrafted witch displays perched on rooftops and garden beds. Features the popular Witch Scavenger Hunt for kids, Witch-a-Palooza dinner theater, Six Spooky Sisters shows, and evening shopping specials.

  • Over 40 life-sized, whimsical artist-designed green-faced witches

West Jordan Summer Concert Series & Movies in the Park

Bring your low-back camping chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to the grassy amphitheater at Veterans Memorial Park. West Jordan City sponsors free weekly concerts featuring popular regional rock, country, jazz, and indie bands, followed on alternating weeks by outdoor cinema under the summer stars.

  • Local food truck court open from 6:00 PM
  • Live music kicks off at 7:00 PM; movies start at sundown
  • Family friendly, shaded grass lawn, and dog friendly on leashes
Local Attending Tip:Arrive by 6:15 PM to stake out lawn space under the large shade trees near the sound booth.
Spring Family FestivalGardner Village

Woodland Fairy Festival

As the historic mill grounds bloom into spring flowers, Gardner Village welcomes the magical Woodland Fairies. Handcrafted fairy displays nestle inside miniature fairy houses, hollowed trees, and bridge railings throughout the village. Includes fairy parade days and tea parties.

West Jordan Community Harvest Market

Showcasing fresh produce from local Salt Lake and Utah County farms, fresh-picked sweet corn, artisan honeys, fresh-baked sourdough breads, handmade soaps, and local craft food artisans. Features live acoustic music and dinner food trucks.
